Summer time fishing in Islamorada is perfect for a full day charter. Many days are spent offshore chasing Mahi-Mahi. Because of the time it takes to travel, and find these fish on any given day, we suggest all charters wanting to target Mahi-Mahi be full day charters. If the fish happen to be closer to shore, this also gives us time to “mix it up.” Allowing us to target several species during your charter. 8 hours is the standard dock to dock time for a full day charter. When you book a full day with Bout Time, we may give some “bonus” time if we think it could make the experience better!
Winter time fishing in Islamorada is great for a full day charter. Although most of our time is spent much closer to shore, this gives the ability to really focus on making your trip the best it can be! During a full day charter, we may have the oppurtunity to target several species of fish in a single day! Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish, Snapper, and more are all caugh during the winter months. For those trying to catch their bucket list sailfish, we highly recommend a full day charter.
Spring and Fall are both very popular times for full day charters. During these months, fishing can vary GREATLY from day to day. This gives us the chance to switch things up, and possibly target a great variety of different species of fish during a single trip. As transitional months, full day charters can produce some great action!
We highly suggest full day charters for all cutomers who are wanting to target sailfish. Islamorada sailfishing is extremely good during the winter months. Spring and Fall can also be productive. These fish will travel thousands of miles during the year, and are constantly migrating. Some days, these elusive fish can be extremely tricky to find. A longer day gives us the best oppurtunity to get a crack at a sailfish. When big bodies of fish are moving thru, double digit sailfish days are not out of the question!


We highly suggest those wanting to target Mahi-Mahi book a full day charter. Summer time is the most popular time for Mahi. Spring and Fall can also produce decent catches at well. These fish can swim over 100 miles per day. Mahi fishing is just as much hunting as it is fishing. Different keys will tell us where these fish are migrating thru the vast ocean. These include things like, specific bird activity, floating debri, current edges, weed lines, and bait fish activity.
